Terms of Use

Effective September 27, 2026. These are the rules for playing Whiskerway at playwhiskerway.com. We've tried to keep them short and in plain words.

Health and safety: flashing lights. A very small number of people can have seizures when they see certain flashing lights or patterns, even if they have never had one before. Whiskerway has things like fireworks, neon signs and flashing lights. If you or your child has epilepsy or has had a seizure, check with a doctor before playing. Stop playing right away and see a doctor if you notice dizziness, blurry vision, eye or muscle twitches, confusion, or any involuntary movement.

Take a break every so often, play in a well-lit room, and don't play while walking or anywhere you need to watch where you're going.

1. Agreeing to these terms

By playing Whiskerway you agree to these Terms of Use and to our Privacy Policy. Whiskerway is for all ages. If you're a child or a teenager, please ask a parent or guardian to read these terms with you. Parents and guardians are responsible for how their children use the game.

2. Who we are

Whiskerway is made and run by Mid Cities Business Services, based in Texas, USA ("we", "us"). Contact: midcitiesbusinessservices@gmail.com.

3. Free to play

Whiskerway is free. There are no purchases and no ads. Treats, hats and anything else you earn in the game are just for fun: they have no money value and can't be sold, traded or exchanged for anything outside the game.

4. Play nicely

When you play, please:

If someone breaks these rules, we may block them from rooms or from the game.

5. Playing with friends

In a room, players can only communicate with preset emotes and phrases, and names come from word lists, so nobody can type messages. We don't watch rooms. Anyone with a room's link or words can join it (up to 8 players), and you can leave any time with Friends → Leave room, play alone.

6. Saves and save codes

Your progress is saved in your browser on your device. If you clear your browser's data, it's gone. Cloud save is optional; anyone with your six save words or save link can load that save, so keep them private. We can't recover lost save words, and in rare cases (for example, a big update) saves might need to be reset.

7. Our game

Whiskerway, including its characters, art, music, world designs, names and code, belongs to Mid Cities Business Services and is protected by copyright and other laws. We give you permission to play it for your own personal, non-commercial fun. Some parts are open-source and come with their own licences, listed on the Credits & licences page. Pictures you take with the game's photo mode are yours to keep and share for personal, non-commercial use.

All characters and places in Whiskerway are made up. Whiskerway is an independent game and isn't connected to or endorsed by any other company; other names mentioned on these pages belong to their owners.

8. Changes to the game

We keep improving Whiskerway, so things will change. We may add, change, pause or remove any part of the game (including rooms and cloud save), or stop running it, at any time.

9. No guarantees

We work hard to make Whiskerway fun and safe, but it is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent the law allows, we don't make any promises or warranties about the game, for example that it will always be available, be free of bugs, or keep your progress.

10. Limits on our responsibility

To the fullest extent the law allows, Mid Cities Business Services won't be responsible for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost progress or data, that come from using or not being able to use Whiskerway. If we are ever found responsible for anything, our total responsibility is limited to US $50. Some places don't allow some of these limits, so they may not all apply to you; nothing in these terms takes away rights you have under consumer laws that can't be waived.

11. The law that applies

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be handled by the state or federal courts located in Texas, unless the law where you live gives you the right to bring it somewhere else.

12. Changes to these terms

If we change these terms, we'll update this page and the date at the top. If you keep playing after a change, that means you accept the new terms.
